聯盟執行副總裁喬-杜馬斯表示：“在NBA球員和媒體之間的關系中，相互尊重是至關重要的，雖然我們理解恩比德被這位記者的專欄文章的內容所冒犯，但雙方的互動必須保持專業，絕不能變成身體接觸。”
