體育資訊10月22日報道宣 魔術官方宣布，球隊正式與杰倫-薩格斯完成提前續約。

據此前Shams報道，薩格斯與魔術達成的是一份5年1.505億美元的新秀提前續約合同，且合同為全額保障。

上賽季，薩格斯代表魔術出戰75場常規賽，場均可以得到12.6分3.1籃板2.7助攻1.4搶斷，并入選最佳防守陣容二陣。
