體育資訊9月24日報道宣 在8年前的今天，也就是2016年9月24日，“狼王”凱文-加內特在社交媒體上更新了一段視頻，宣布結束自己21載傳奇NBA生涯。

視頻中加內特說道：“我很感謝大家，我不知道該如何表達這一切，我只能說謝謝。To be continued...”

凱文-加內特在1976年5月19日出生于美國南卡羅來納州，他在1995年NBA選秀中于首輪第5順位被森林狼選中。加內特生涯曾效力過森林狼、凱爾特人和籃網。

加內特生涯15次入選全明星，9次最佳陣容，12次最佳防守陣容，4次籃板王，2003-04賽季當選常規賽MVP，07-08賽季當選最佳防守球員，2008年在凱爾特人拿到生涯第一次總冠軍。

2016年9月24日，加內特正式宣布退役。2020年4月5日，加內特正式入選奈-史密斯籃球名人紀念堂。2022年3月14日，加內特的5號球衣正式被凱爾特人隊退役。
