此前有報道稱，貝爾坦斯將跟隨勇士備戰新賽季，不過名記Stein也曾表示，勇士要先對貝爾坦斯進行試訓，之后再決定是否給他發出訓練營合同。

貝爾坦斯上賽季效力于雷霆和黃蜂，場均6.7分1.4板，三分命中率38.0%。
